Hunter is afraid???
What a weird think happened today.
We were outside playing with the frisbee and a friend was over. He was playing with Hunter for a long time, the 2 of them were having a ball.
At one point, Hunter tried to get the frisbee and he accidentally stepped on Hunter's paw. Hunter yelped, but the play continued. About 10 minutes later, they were still playing and Hunter was jumping for the frisbee and hit his head off the friend's knee.
So yeah, he was hurt twice in one play session. Neither time was he hurt very much, more of a pride thing than anything really.
But after that Hunter was acting really funny so we thought he did have a paw hurt or something. He wanted to come back inside and was even shivering.
The friend left and me and the man came back inside with Hunter and he was okay. We checked him all over to make sure there was nothing wrong with a paw or anything, and he seemed fine.
We went back outside about a half an hour ago and Hunter was fine, or so we thouht, we he went on the lawn, a truck went down the road and made a loud noise, and Hunter went back to the deck, shivering and wanted to get back inside.
I am thinking he is afraid due to those incidents, but how to I let him know that everything is okay.....
He is a big suck when he is afraid, trying to lie on me, or on the man. But we don't want to reinforce the scared behaviour, but we want to make sure that he knows he is safe too
