What is the story all about?
High school football in a small Texas town is a big deal. Especially if the team has a huge reputation and continued success.

Coach Taylor is in his first season at Dillon High, and he has an all-star football team littered with scouted talent such as Jason Street, quarterback, Tim Riggins, fullback, and Smash Williams, running back. When a tragedy occurs on-field, the focus shifts to the sophomore, Matt Saracen, a quiet, soft-spoken kid in which he's forced to take the ball and run with it. We watch Matt grow into a leader, deal with the transfer of a superstar Katrina refugee who challenges him for his position, and develop a relationship with the Coach's daughter.

Lyla Garrity, the head cheerleader and girlfriend of Jason Street, finds herself stuck in between two boys, and Julie Taylor, the Coach's daughter, tries to find her own identity. Every character has conceptual depth, and everyone's flaws are almost endearing.

The cinematography is documentary-esque, and provides an original scope which is not seen on television today. All in all, it's a well-done show about American football.

What about Desperate Housewives? Or Bones? Or has anyone ever watched the Buffy or Angel series? All those show are the best along with Greys.
