This rant is against everybody out there who thinks it is a good idea to gaze upon every tall person they see, and blurt out some really inane phrase. The following phrases, including all permutations, are considered least acceptable:

"Wow, you're tall."

"Do you play basketball?"

"How tall are you?"

What is the point of your comment? Do you wish to start conversation? Are you trying to pay a compliment? In either case, you are failing. Tall people do not need to be or want to be complimented on their tallness. Unlike weight, height is not something you strive to achieve. Do you go up to other people and pick out a trait and state it to them? "Wow, you're female." "Wow, your teeth are clean." "Wow, your hair is red." Take your goddamn tautologies to hell with you. Tall people do not all play basketball. Do all short people play miniature golf? How tall am I? What are you, my physician? I told some lady who asked me this once I was 5'9". She was so ****ing stupid she said "Sorry, I thought you were taller." I don't give a shit how tall you are. I don't go asking around people's height, weight, blood type, and eye color. You wanna know in case I rob you, so you can tell the police? Shut the **** up.

Stupid people, take note: Smart people don't say stupid shit like this to tall people.
