    Default Not having dreams

Okay. My friend and I were talking about dreams and I just thought about mine.. I haven't had any in months! I used be able to remember my dreams every night.. they were pretty plain.. sometimes a little wacky but they usually made sense and weren't too extreme with horror or comedy. Now recently, I haven't had any dreams.. and I told my friend. She said that I'm having them.. just not remembering them.

    So my questions are:

    1) Am I still having dreams and just not remembering them or am I not dreaming?

    and

    2) Is it normal to go from dreams every night to not having any for months? I'm not too concerned .. just curious.

    Thanks,

I heard somewhere when we go to sleep we always have dreams, its just that you don't always remember them.

You are dreaming, you just can't remember them. The average person dreams about 250 times a night I believe. People who have claimed they don't dream, were asked to sleep while a specialist ****yzes their sleep behaviour. The specialist knows that the person is dreaming through Rapid Eye Movements (REM). Dreams are most likely to occur during REM sleep than non-rapid eye movement sleep (NREM).

hey man i no how you can remember them if you want to.

just get a pen a paper and sit it down next to your bed and say to your self im going to write down what happens in every dream.

from then on you will start remembering, this wont happen strait away, but it will work.

be warned, it works that much by the end of a few weeks you will have trained to wake up after every dream, lol this means you will be waking at least 4 or 5 times a night.

its amazing how it works, i think everyone should try it, its bloody orsm.

just make sure you all write your dream down.

i have dreams i cannot remember after i awake in the mornings like the rest of us, the pen and note pad works a charm.

and you all will be amazed just on how much you really do dream.

Ministry Of Sound™ im pretty sure its not that simple. Ive studied dreams and stuff and have gotten into lucid dreams and have used techniques and everything.

a lucid dream if you dont know already is a dream where you are aware you are inside it and can take controll of it. basicly real life but not real. its the coolest thing ever in my opinion. You know why? cause you can fly be invisible have telekenesis havce wars do quests anything! anythign you could ever emagine you can do in a lucid dream. Yes that meens you feel pain and temperature, can smell taste (yes that means sex)

if you wna know more about it ask me :-D

What a coincidence. I actually learned about sleep and dreams this morning in my Psychology class. It's really interesting.

To clarify, I was wayyyyyy off when I said "we dream about 250 times a night" (I don't know where I got that info from). It's actually 5 times haha.

Yeah, you are most definately dreaming during your REM sleep. Unless, you find you do not feel rested, than you may not be getting enough REM sleep...but otherwise you probably just dont remember them.

Those who do remember their dreams will find that in the morning..they may remember detail..but as the day goes on you forget the little details..thats whats cool about keeping a dream diary

Often you will dream about something thats really on your mind lately, often whats on your mind before you go to sleep. Which is kinda cool because in that time, some people often solve issues that they have been contemplating...

So like was mentioned..for a few nights, set your alarm to wake you up and immediately write down everything you remember...

sometimes they are pretty crazy to read about in the morning!!!

I did this once, and I actually had a dream that would continue from where it left off...was pretty weird.. ahha
