So in school I always debate with my teachers that I'll never need their class...
I know I'm going to be a business manager when I grow up and I can safely say that I won't need to know what the Nucleolus of a plant cell does. But we're still required to take classes we'll never need..
What classes do you think are actually important? And which aren't?
Or.. if you're out of school what classes helped and which totally wasted your time?
Like for me..
World studies is a good one..
Math
Economics
English.
I'll never use
Biology
Geometry / Algebra :0d1a86a6ea:

lol yeah that sucks, i was made to do:
"cooking"
"sewing"
"social studies"
"horticulture"
"science"
and i hated them, cooking was fun but the written work sucked.
what was must important for me was:
"sports"
"english"
"writing"
"math"
"wood work"
"car ED"
"electrics"
all tho i didnt no what i wanted to be at that time, i new those was most important.
the reason i was made to do the ones i hated is because the other classes were filled up.
i failed "science" and "cooking", we were made to do "science" but i hated it.
"cooking" i liked but failed the written work lol.

U know in hindsight I think we get made to do all those classes just in case we find we like them, also cos u never know what u might end up doing 40 years from then.
U never know Kyle, u might end up working for a scientific lab for plants as a computer tech or something!!
I enjoyed woodwork,
cooking (ecept my teacher hated me)
English
Math I liked cos I had a knack for it but I remember little now and attended poorly
I do remember pie = 3.14 though lol
Science was ok except for the disection of the ox eye!
I should have done Mechanics cos of what I do now
LOVED graphics
social studies I found unrealistic and a waste of time
I LOVED sports ed
Sewing was like watching paint dry
electrics I should have done too!
Drama rocked!
Thats all I can think of for now.

In high school, if I remember correctly, we couldn't graduate without passing english, french, history of Quebec & Canada, physical science, and math.
What really sucked, is since I was in high math, I was able to take chemistry and physics. Those who were in low math could've taken biology, computers, and art. So we have me in my science classes who's walking and talking about calculations, and then you have the low math people who are having tetris competitions in computers class. :0d1a86a6ea:
My school year was the last year to have Home economics / technology. We sewed, cooked, and built things. :D
In college, my program is a bunch of options, but the requirements are:
- Intro. to Business
- Intro. to Economics
- General Psychology
- Western Civilization
I really enjoyed these classes because for university, I will be going to a Business School. I'm also taking Calculus and Linear Algebra because you absolutely need them to get into the Business school.
and you can't graduate without passing:
- 4 English classes
- 2 French
- 3 Gym
- 3 methodology courses
- 3 Humanities

What science and math classes should i take? So far I've taken an honors chemistry and biology class plus a microbiology class and next year i have it scheduled to take anatomy and physiology and honors physics.
To me, all classes are essential.
Math- For problem solving, and thinking through things.
Science- To know about the world surrounding you.
History- To make sure you don't make mistakes in your future, and to help you with daily problems.
Physical Education- To help you stay healthy.
There are tons of other classes. But that's my opinion for different classes, even though you may think you don't need them, you really do. Most of classes you need to graduate.
This year I have:
Geoscience
Physical Education
Economics/Civics.
English 12
^^^^ those to graduate.
Electives
Teacher's Aide
A+ Certification
I don't really enjoy classes at school that much. ;\
