    Default Food in NZ

I was just wondering about the food in New Zealand. I'm from the U.S. What is the food like? How are the prices? How are the restaurants/pubs? Any recomendations on a certain food I should try?

As for sushi, this is widely available in all the main cities (less so in the provincial towns and unknown in the country areas!). A 'lunchbox" will cost typically between NZ$6 and $9, depending what filling you choose (salmon, teriyaki chicken, avocado are all scrumptious).

Food here is relatively cheap compared to the USA and the best thins is you dont have to give tips when you got to Bars/Restaurants just the bill.

AND you DEFINANTLY HAVE TO TRY A HANGI WHILE YOU ARE HERE not the most healthy thing in the world but if cooked properly THE MOST DELICIOUS thing you'll find here.
