UGLY Betty sure isn't ugly when it comes to ratings
AS predicted Ugly Betty was a massive hit on Sunday night, nearly doubling the audience of 60 Minutes. Ugly Betty averaged 2,031,000 viewers around Australia, compared to just 1,101,000 for 60 Minutes. Seven’s gamble in putting Grey’s Anatomy in the 8.30pm slot also worked - it was the 2nd most-watched show nationally with 2,031,000. In my opinion Grey’s Anatomy is close to the best show on television - brilliantly written and every single character has a warm side to them which is essential I think for a drama to be a success. Seven would be happy with the ratings for Australia’s Got Talent. As for Ten - they would have to be concerned about the very poor performance of Celebrity Dog School and The Biggest Loser. CDD was the 23rd most-watch show for the night, with a terrible 527,000 viewers. How long will it last? TBL was killed by Ugly Betty and 60 Minutes, only averaging 898,000. What do you guys think?
