Default Have you had you wisdom teeth removed?

To those that HAVE had their removed, can you tell me what they did exactly? I'm having mine taken out soon and I'm pretty nervous. I have never had any kind of surgery before so eek! Did they put you to sleep? If not did they give you any drugs? How bad did it hurt? But most importantly, did you have to wear one of those tacky hospital gowns?

    Thanks!

Never got them removed, but I know what they do. They will either put you to sleep with a needle (had that done, didn't hurt), or they will inject you with laughing gas and you'll laugh all through the procedure. Either way, it won't hurt because it numbs your mouth.

yes. and they don't dislocate your jaw lol. nah for me they've put that stuff so i don't feel anything. than they removed the four of them. the only time it hurts it's when your mouth unfrozens.. it hurts like a b*tch but they usually give you a prescription of pain killers for that.

My mate once at it done and came to school directly afterwards and said he couldn't feel anything, so i offered to hit him, so he was like "ok" so i punched him fairley hard and right enough he felt nothing. That evening he was having dinner with his family and suddenly there was this loud cracking noice from his mouth, and then the pain hit him, lol.
