    Rolleyes1 Best quality image format?

    Hey guys,

I recently started using Photoshop more than ever and I'm sharing my work by uploading my pics to sites and I need to know the best image format (.bmp, .jpeg, .gif, etc.)

Can you please tell me which will get me the highest quality and the least amount of distortion from my original image? I need it to be something fairly well known so I can upload it to image hosting sites.

    Thanks!

man you can get great quality from both jpg, gif and png. all depends on what you are creating. i usually stick with jpg, well if i start with a background of a banner and its jpg i will safe as jpg once i have finished as i will lose quality. to me png shows in VERY best quality. i cant use jpeg for sites as that format keeps refreshing on page load, actually i never use jpeg, nor does the pros that used to help me, they always say you will get better quality in png. im no pro man but its just what i have learn from people that make banners and run there own banner sites, basically they get paid making logos, banners, ads etc for people. they would always ask me do i want my banner made in png as to them was best quality.
but i make my own now anyway, gif for animated, mostly png so i can place my images on any background, but yeah, jpg and png i use. all depends on if you are blending HQ pics to, huge help when images are already hq. but i dont know what ya making. i hope i have helped a bit mate, cheers good luck.
