Default Should I visit my mom in jail? Does she have the right to tell me what to do?

My mother is going to jail for six months for forgery related charges.
I am handling the situation fine because she will be back and her
visit to jail might make her go easier on me now. Even though it is
only six months, My dad asked someone that worked at the jail if it is
alright if someone my age visited. They said yes and said she would
appreciate a visit and it could be interesting and an "educational
experience" (What does that mean? Please give your opinion on that)
    I have some questions

    1. My mom is not trying to run away or avoid going. She seems nervous
but is instead just trying to prepare to go. This reaction seems
surprising. If I had to go to jail I would probably run away or faint
    or something.

    2. Should I visit her. I would like to visit her when she goes in, but
I wonder if it is worth stepping inside of a jail .Then again maybe it
might not be bad to go.

    3. my mom has to leave jewelry behind including her wedding ring she said, I wonder why that is?

    4. also, my dad said I still have to listen to my mother when she gets out and even when she is jail if she calls and he wants her opinion on something he will listen.. A friend of mine brought up an interesting point, I mean like I said I don't hate my mom or anything and had a good relationship with her but now that she committed a crime, her telling what to do might be hypocritical

You should visit her, she'll love that.
She's still your mom, so you still have to listen to what she'll tell you, committing a crime doesn't mean that she'll lose responsibility with you.
