    Default Your Child Is Gay

wow check this out, hellotf12 says:

So... I have a friend who came out to his parents. They're now kicking him out of the house, as the psychologist he was forced to go to didn't cure him.

What would you do if your child was gay? Would you love them less?

I speak to my straight friends about this, and they reply that they would really love to keep on loving their child in the exact same way, unconditionally and all, yet they would probably fail i.e. something would change in the relationship - just because they cannot understand it or (my fav) it grosses them out.

    How lovely.

I wouldn't treat them any different, if I have any children I intend to always encourage them to be themselves - no matter what that means.

    agreed.

what if your child was disabled, deaf, blind or had no legs, no matter what they are your child and we have to except them for who they are.

no one is perfect, theres no such thing as a perfect child.

I dislike how the word 'cure" is used in ths context. You can't 'cure" the fact that the person is gay, it's not a disease.

I will agree on that it don't matter what color or size , fat or skinny a kid is I am stil going to love my child no matter what my child looks like or does people should not judge on that at all that should judge what comes from the heart ...

    Completely agreed.

I'm not going to lie, I'd be a bit disappointed...but I'm accept it and still treat my son/daughter with love and respect. No way in hell I'd kick my child out of the house like that. I've never understood parents who so easily do such a thing.

A guy two years older than me came out to his parents a few years back (they live near me). The father kicked him out and refused to speak to him, and so did the mother. Last year the father died of cancer, and even when dying he refused to see his son because he was gay. The mother now has accepted that the son is gay and has learned to live with it.

So yeah i would feel disapointed, but at the end of the day, becuase you never know what will happen in life, i would put up with it.

What a shame, u know i was about 8 years old when I 1st learned of gays, through telling mum I wanted to marry Boy George. laugh!! I never had a problem with it nor have I ever understood why anyone else has a problem with it. People are people, period.

I have a daughter who has been diagnosed with Autism, her father tries to make her be a normal kid and not like she is. It pis ses me off that he makes her think that being herself wont be accepted by him no022, too bad lightening doesnt stike him!

My daughter is the BEST little sweety in the world and there is nooooooooo way I could ever kick her out for being who she is, and believe me, autism is a lot more involved to deal with than gay. I don't look at her and see a child with a disability, I just see her, like if someone was gay, you just see the person, not what their sexual orientation is. I'm sure everyone can relate to that.
