Default should this person get help?

ok i was just reading this and wondered, should this person get help-

i've been shy my whole entire life. painfully shy. and its basically led to zippo-confidence. somedays i feel totally happy and normal but then the next day i might be holding back tears the whole day. the one thing i want more than anything is to have a great group of friends and to be confident about who i am. if i had those two things i would never wish for anything else.

CON-getting help: i ahve been trying to sort things about my whole life so i dont know if i will be able to do it on my own, but there is a possibility. and going to see a therapist would make me feel like crap. i would be so ashamed to be one of those people who needs "special help" so if i did go help, it would send me further into the gutter, or at least initially.

soooo... yes or no? please explain your choice. thanks

you have done a good deed by helping him out ▫ЅëxŸБїŧĈЊ²³▫ thats very nice of you, sometimes if it was'nt for another persons help, who no's what would happen to them, it could even lead to death, people must get some help and avise from someone at least. as for this person the thread is about i think a little push in the right direction can go along way.

I would say this person does need help, its sounds like abit of depression is also involved. It may feel weird going to get councelling, but in this case i think it would help for them to talk about there feelings/problems.

You know councilling is under rated and looked down on by alot of people. I think the word councilling should be changed to "just need to talk?"

To ask for help is one of the hardest things us humans seem to be able to do, specially the less confident ones. I see it as a strength to be able to ask for help, not a weakness.

Scenario for you.... if you were to see a councillor and through that you could learn to be yourself and be more confident, have a happier life and smile more than frown....whats so bad about that? No one has to know your doing it and if someone does find out about it, whats the worst that can happen? They tease you? Once you are confident about yourself you will not worry about that cos you will know who you are and what you are. You will have a defence mechanism in you of confidence. In other words you wont care what people say. Being a teenager is hard, no doubt, but if you feel you could do with some help then my advice is seek it.

It is impossible for any severed individual to experience pain
Pleasure, memory, dream or thought of any kind
This young man will be as unfeeling as unthinking as the dead
    Until the day joins them

I don't know weather I'm alive or dreaming or dead or remembering
How can you tell what's a dream and what's real
When you can't even tell when your awake and when your asleep
    Where am I?
