Hi Sasha, I have alot of trouble meditating myself but heres what I do.

Make sure you will be undisturbed. Find a comfy spot and sit in it, close your eyes and try to clear your mind. You might find thoughts will come in but if you concerntrate too much on keeping them away you wont relax.

As you sit and try to clear your mind tell each section of your body to relax.

Start with your head, then your chest, stomach, and legs.

A good thing I find to do is to gove yourself a calm vision, here's mine.

Imagine you begin in a beautiful, safe area with tree's and a path that leads through them. Begin to walk down this path, if you find anything on the path, move it away and continue. This path will be a nice nature walk, no danger anywhere from anything cos this is your world. As you walk you begin to see in the distance a large clearing. Green grass, a small lake to the side of it, flowers and other beautiful sights that you love. In this place you can't feel fear, no one can be here if you don't want them to be. If you choose to talk with anyone, even your own soul, then you can. In this place you can be your true self, the person you know you are. You can do anything here and be safe. When you decide to leave you can walk back down the path you came from, or fly out if you wish to. Remember, you can do anything in your safe place.

I hope that helps you Sasha, the same thing doesnt work for everyone so if you cant do it don't worry but I'm sure you will find some way to do it, even if you want to just sit and be quiet for a while. Sometimes a recording of nature or a new age music tune can help if you find it too hard to clear your mind to begin with.

    Happy meditating!

My religion teacher in high school was so awesome. He used to be a hippie who smoked weed and meditated; so he'd make us meditate in class or even outside on the field.
