    Default Cats

    ok im just wondering. Can a female animal that been fixed have periods?

    i know they cant have kittens once they been fixed.

    my cat been fixed, or so said the ppl at the selter told me, but she just begin.

    xD that's a good question.

    Sorry I wouldn't know. all my animals are male and I'm not sure how the animal reproductive system works when it's 'fixed'.

    Hmmmmm. It's possible, though unlikely. The ovarian tissue (that is removed during the surgery) produces the hormones that make the cat go into heat. So really, if the surgery wasn't the greatest-quality surgery, some tissue could be left; enough to produce the hormones needed for menstruation. Ask your vet. to issue a blood test to check the hormone levels of the cat. That should answer your question.

    it seems that the treats i got for her gave her stomach problems and i had to give the treats away so she couldnt have any eventho the other cats do have it. :(

    i had a cat since i was little but one got to where we didnt want the second one was given away without asking me or telling me and the third ran away. now i have a cat with a chip in her to tell me if she is found. no one is taking my kitty away from me :aggressive:

    years ago i thought the chip was to track the animal down lol but its not. to bad if it got lost in the bush.
